Sapienza Gladiators Racing Team, il prototipo vestito 666CARBON

Sapienza Gladiators Racing Team, the prototype dressed in 666CARBON

The partnership with 666carbon guaranteed not only an eye-catching aesthetic, but also a significant contribution to the lightness and resistance of the hulls used in the project. The combination of 666carbon's experience in the creation of high-quality track fairings and the tireless commitment of the team allowed us to obtain a final product that lived up to expectations, contributing to the overall success of the Biga prototype.
The Sapienza Gladiators Racing Team (SGRT), with its symbol that evokes ancient Rome, is a group of young talented engineers who have carried out a unique project. Their base, in the fascinating context of the Sapienza University of Rome, was the starting point for an unprecedented motoring adventure.

In the MotoStudent International Competition, held in Aragón, Spain, last October, the SGRT made its debut. In this captivating challenge involving universities from around the world, the team brought innovation and ambition to the circuit.

The project, born only the previous year, brought new challenges and perspectives. A total of 18 students divided into five departments worked tirelessly to unearth Biga, the name given to their motorbike, which strongly recalls the era of Ancient Rome.

The competition required an incredible commitment: hours and nights spent designing on the computer, in-depth discussions and analysis shaped the final profile of the bike. Stringent regulatory limits have required innovative solutions all tested to best compete with other teams.

The prototype, equipped with components supplied by the organisation, brought a sealed KTM RC 250 4T engine to the race, limiting mechanical interventions. The aluminum frame, the Andreani fork and other technical details such as our aviofiber fairings made to measure for the project (with the help of molds created in 3D printing by the SGRT team) made the bike one of a kind.

Now, with the race over, the SGRT looks forward with the hope that their efforts can be recognized. The MotoStudent competition is not just an academic testing ground, but offers the opportunity to enter the world of Motorsport, as demonstrated by the past success of the Polytechnic of Turin.

The adventure of the Sapienza Gladiators Racing Team is an example of how passion, dedication and vision can transform academic dreams into tangible results on the circuit.
